What are Community Guidelines, and how do they differ from Terms of Use?
Our Community Guidelines outline what is and isn’t allowed on Curious Destiny to maintain a safe space for inspiration and expression. In contrast, our Terms of Use is a legal agreement detailing our obligations to you and your responsibilities to us (including adhering to the Community Guidelines). What do our Community Guidelines cover?
Intellectual Property – Share only content you have the right to post.
Appropriate Imagery – Nudity is not allowed except for specific cases like post-mastectomy scarring, breastfeeding, or artistic depictions in paintings and sculptures.
Spam – Unsolicited emails, comments, likes, or other harassing or commercial communication are prohibited.
Illegal Content – We prohibit content supporting terrorism, organized crime, hate groups, or activities like offering sexual services and selling firearms or drugs.
Hate Speech, Bullying, and Abuse – Content containing credible threats, hate speech, or targeted abuse based on characteristics like race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability is not allowed.
Self-Injury – Content that glorifies or encourages self-harm, including eating disorders, is prohibited. However, educational or supportive content raising awareness is permitted.
Graphic Violence – We do not allow graphic violence. Exceptions may apply for content shared to educate, condemn, or raise awareness about significant newsworthy events.
Who decides what the Community Guidelines cover?
Our guidelines are designed to reflect the diversity of our global community. We’ve carefully considered different perspectives to create a safe, open environment that protects and fosters this community.
What should I do if I see content that violates the Community Guidelines?
If you spot content that may violate our guidelines, report it by emailing us.
A global team reviews reports 24/7 and removes content that breaches our guidelines. When reporting, please provide as much detail as possible (e.g., usernames, content descriptions) to help us address the issue promptly.
Reports can be submitted even by individuals without a Curious Destiny account.
What happens when someone breaches the Community Guidelines?
We remove content that violates our guidelines and may deactivate accounts for repeated violations.
Entire cards may be removed if the imagery or associated captions breach our policies.
In severe cases, we may collaborate with law enforcement, especially when there is a risk of physical harm or threats to public safety.
